Aisha El-Amin

Aisha El-Amin received a Ph.D. in Policy Studies in Urban Education from UIC in 2011. Dr. El-Amin has served in several roles at University of Illinois Chicago as a multi-million dollar education grant manager, director of The Council on Teacher Education, Associate Dean of Student Affairs, Associate Provost and Chief of Staff for the Provost and currently Associate Vice Chancellor for Equity and Belonging. Dr. El Amin is a highly decorated US Army Sergeant Veteran and serves on several not-for-profit organizations dedicated to justice. The words, faith, hard work, resilience, and gratitude guide her life. These words have guided her during her time in the military, as a UIC student and Academic Professional.
