About

Dr. Sandra F. Durley obtained a BS in pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy and a Pharm D degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is currently employed as Senior Associate Director of Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Services and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy. Dr. Durley is responsible for coordinating the operations of the seven UIC ambulatory care pharmacies. The pharmacies provide a wide variety of patient-centered pharmacy services to the patients, students & employees of the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health). The pharmacies also serve as teaching sites for students in the PharmD curriculum and support the service, teaching and research mission of the College of Pharmacy. Dr. Durley has worked in various leadership roles for over 25 years coordinating and supervising work teams composed of members from culturally diverse backgrounds. Dr. Durley has mentored several students and trainees during her time at UI Health. She has extensive ambulatory pharmacy operations experience in various areas including compliance, medication safety, quality improvement, pharmacy reimbursement, compensation for pharmacy services and increasing pharmaceutical access to underserved populations; Dr. Durley has extensive knowledge and experience in managing 340B compliance and program optimization.
